Lively sandy beach within easy reach of Kanazawa

The Uchinada Coast is a wide sandy beach on the Sea of Japan, right outside Kanazawa. Locals flock to the beach each summer for swimming and marine sports, and to enjoy the barbecue areas and bars—some of which have live music. For a different type of relaxation, head to the large public onsen nearby.

Getting to Uchinada is easy by train. The Hokuriku Railroad Asanogawa Line runs direct to Uchinada from Kanazawa Station. The ride takes less than 20 minutes.
