Notojima Aquarium のとじま水族館
Large aquarium focused on local species
Notojima Aquarium specializes in marine life from the waters off the Noto Peninsula. It has about 500 species. Visitors can feed and touch certain fish.
Popular areas include the Whale Shark Zone, where large fish, including whale sharks, swim. At Dolphin Paradise, visitors watch from a tunnel beneath the tank where penguins and dolphins swim. Projection mapping across parts of the aquarium floor and ceiling lend an immersive experience.
