Mitsukejima 見附島
Rock island rising 28 meters out of the sea
Mitsukejima is a large, uninhabited rock island shooting 28 meters out of the sea in Suzu on the Noto Peninsula. It is a well-known spot to view sunrises. Visitors can walk out toward the rock in low tide.
On the shore, couples can ring a bell while wishing for everlasting love, and at night the rock is illuminated for a romantic scene.
A campsite on the beach is open in the summer. The nearby cafe serves rice bowls topped with Noto beef.
