Masuho Coast 増穂浦海岸

Beach with sunsets and wind-scattered seashells

The Masuho Coast on the western shore of the Noto Peninsula experiences a phenomenon in which tiny seashells are carried ashore and scattered along the beach by the wind. Summer beachgoers come for the clear waters and white sand.

In 1989, the world’s longest bench (at the time) was built here. It stretches 460.9 meters along the coast. It has lost the title, but the bench remains a pleasant spot to sit while viewing the sunset.

The beach is lit up in a colorful nighttime illumination event in summer and autumn.
