The Horai Festival is an autumn harvest festival with 800 years of history. It is held in the Tsurugi district of Hakusan during the first weekend of October every year. The festivities involve floats adorned by 5-meter-tall figures from folklore and mythology. These floats are carried by local groups and hoisted around the town.
