Money
Credit cards are accepted at many chains and larger stores, but many businesses still only accept cash. Some banks offer currency exchange services. Foreign cards can be used to withdraw cash at Japan Post Bank (found in post offices) and 7-Eleven ATMs.
Free Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi can be found at many locations around Ishikawa, including sightseeing spots, shopping centers, and train stations. The main providers are Japan Free Wi-Fi, Freespot, and Town Wi-Fi. Town Wi-Fi has an app that automatically connects users to available public Wi-Fi.
Tax Free
Japan’s tax-free shopping is easy to use. There are many tax-free shops around Ishikawa. Simply show your passport for purchases over 5,000 yen to pay the tax-exempt price at participating stores.
Luggage Storage
Coin lockers are available at major stations and bus terminals. Prices are 300–700 yen per day depending on size. Luggage storage services are available at Kanazawa Station and the Kuroneko Hotto Station in the Katamachi district for 500 yen per day.
Luggage Delivery
The luggage courier service in Kanazawa Station can deliver your bags anywhere in Ishikawa on the same day. The service costs 700–1,200 yen depending on size and time. Use the Airport Ta-Q-Bin service to deliver your luggage straight to the airport, or EMS through the post office to send parcels overseas.

Safety & Disaster Information
Ishikawa is quite safe, but travelers should be alert and aware of their surroundings nevertheless. Review safety tips from the Japan Tourism Agency and download their multilingual app. The Ishikawa police have a foreign language help line (076-225-0555) for assistance in case of lost property, theft, or accidents.
