In December 2025, BBC Travel, operated by BBC Studios, the commercial arm of the United Kingdom’s public broadcaster BBC, announced on its official website its list of the “The 20 best places to travel in 2026”. Ishikawa Prefecture was selected as the only destination from Japan.

We hope that this recognition will serve as a tailwind, attracting even more visitors to Ishikawa and allowing them to experience the prefecture’s rich and diverse attractions.
